Back to winning ways! - 14 October 2009
Summer is just about over but what a summer it has been! The global economic climate seems to have improved a fair amount and there is much more confidence about. Sales has been very busy recently and we are pleased to have found several good new homes for some special cars. Service work continues to increase year on year and we have some beautiful cars in at the moment for their yearly servicing.
However one particular car's story is worth sharing as it is so special to see it on the track once again. The legendry 512 S/M prototype is one of the most amazing cars Ferrari ever built and we have the honour of looking after one of the most original unmodified cars that there is. After many years of being stored with us and being displayed as a showpiece, Chassis number 1002 is back racing again!

After we carried out a full mechanical rebuild and prep for its proud owner and guardian, Dieter Roschmann, the car was shipped to Brno for its first race in the Shell Ferrari historic challenge. Dieter drove the car magnificently and proved what a formidable Ferrari the 512M was by winning both races outright, beating the F40LM amongst others -Not bad for a car that is nearly 40 years old!

Our congratulations to Dieter and our technicians Peter North and Jerry Roe for such a great result first time out.
