Summer News! - 27 July 2010
It has been a very hectic summer so far. The workshop has been extremely busy with everything from routine servicing to full ground up restorations. As well as the large number of F40s, F50s and Enzos that we look after, we have been taking care of a fair few 275GTBs, 2 and 4 cams. Currently we have eight in the workshops and thought it would be a great opportunity to show you a photo of such a beautiful gathering.

We have also been preparing a few cars for various events including a stunning 275 GTB alloy for the Ferrari Tribute to the Mille Miglia. This particular car has been owned by Michael Kwee for many years and throughout this time we have prepped it for both its concourse wins and the rallies that Michael now competes in. Michael has very kindly written a short piece about his recent experience of the Mille Miglia…
“Margaret and I took our 1966 275 GTB - Alloy and had a most wonderful time. It was quite hard driving in 2 1/2 days over 1,000 plus miles for the 44 year-old car, but thanks to Bob Houghton and his team, the car did not miss a beat. There were around 127 Ferraris of all ages and models from 1958 onwards and we all started about 45 minutes before the regular MM cars on the Thursday evening. That also meant very early start for us on Friday and Saturday mornings ending at the Ferrari's Fiorano track at the factory whereas the regular MM cars went on back to Brescia.
Crowds were everywhere, day and night to receive us as we passed through their villages, towns, cities etc. The police outriders cleared the roads as if they were Mosses parting the Red Sea to make a way for the MM cars. As Margaret remarked when we were entering Rome, "Only in Italy would they allow such madness!".
This has been a huge marketing coup for Ferrari and hopefully they will be able to do the Tribute again next year to give all Ferrari owners a chance to participate in one of the greatest road race ever.
I can't wait for the next MM !!!”

For those interested in some of the other Ferraris that participated in the Mille Miglia Ferrari Tribute, the following link shows a video of the cars all ready to go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTnWiTQFRD8&feature=related
We have also had cars at this years Ferrari owners club concourse, Le Mans Classic and Silverstone Classic so it has been an excellent summer so far.
Make sure you get those cars out and enjoy them in the way Enzo intended!
